What farm apps in India offer, side by side
By the Takṣa team · Figures read from each source on 9 October 2026
What five farm and agri-trade apps say they offer, the languages they state and the reach each company reports, read from each company's own page or app-store listing on 9 October 2026.
| Listing | Mainly for | What it offers | Languages stated | Reach the company states | Source |

| DeHaat | Farmers, through local DeHaat centres | Input supply, AI-driven advisory and market linkages | Multiple regional languages for advisory; no list given | 1.8 million+ farmers, 12 states and 11,000+ DeHaat centres. DeHaat submitted these figures to NITI Aayog, which does not verify them | DeHaat on NITI Aayog Frontier Tech |
| Gramophone | Farmers who want crop advice and inputs | Crop advice from a farm profile, farm inputs (seeds, pesticides, crop nutrition, herbicides, hardware) with home delivery, weather updates and a farmer community | Hindi, English and Marathi | 500K+ downloads on Google Play, which is not a count of active farmers. | Ninjacart | Farmers and input retailers (the Ninja Kisan app) | Commodity price updates from nearby mandis, free expert advisory, input product offers and working-capital finance offers | — | The page says "millions of farmers and agri experts" and gives no counts | Ninja Kisan |
This page lines up what five farm and agri-trade apps say about themselves. They do different jobs, even though they are often grouped together as agri-tech. Gramophone and AgroStar say they offer farm inputs and crop advice. A NITI Aayog page based on DeHaat's own submission describes inputs and advice through its local DeHaat centres. Bijak says it connects businesses in fruit and vegetable trade. Ninjacart says its Ninja Kisan app gives price updates and advice to farmers and input retailers.
What the reach figures are
Every number in the last column is the company's own claim, or an app-store count, and none has been checked by Takṣa or by an outside auditor. They are also different kinds of number. A download is not an active farmer, a centre or a store is not a customer, and "farmers" can mean registered, served or reached. They cannot be added up or set side by side as if they measured the same thing. Where a company gave no count, the cell shows a dash.
What the table cannot tell you
It does not show prices, quality, delivery times or whether an app lowers what a farmer pays for seed and fertiliser. Whether any of these apps does is the open question on our seed and fertiliser prices problem page, and nothing here answers it. Takṣa has not been paid by any of these companies, and this page does not rank them.
Figures were read from each company's own page or app-store listing on 9 October 2026; where we did not find a figure, the cell shows a dash.
