What it does
Krutrim is an India-first AI and cloud platform for developers, researchers and enterprises. Its workflow combines model discovery and inference in AI Studio with compute, storage and deployment services in Krutrim Cloud.
AI Studio exposes a changing catalogue of text, vision, speech, multimodal and embedding models. Billing is usage-based rather than a single consumer subscription; current model cards and billing documentation are the source of truth for price, licence and availability.
Medianama reported on 5 May 2026 that Krutrim paused work on chip design and foundation AI models in late 2025 and shifted its focus to cloud infrastructure services, so the model catalogue should not be read as Krutrim building its own foundation models.
