What it does
Apna is a hiring app for blue-collar, grey-collar and entry-level jobs. A job seeker builds a simple profile on their phone and applies to employers directly.
It exists because most Indian workers find jobs through a contractor or someone they know, and the job sites built for office workers expect a CV in English and do not list the roles they want. Apna launched during the Covid-19 lockdowns and reached more than 70 cities within two years.

Why it fits India
A phone-first hiring app for delivery, retail, back-office and other entry-level roles, made for people who do not use English-language job sites.
- Who it serves
- Workers looking for delivery, retail, back-office and similar roles, which office-job portals mostly leave out.
- Language and format
- It does not assume the job seeker reads or writes English, and a profile on the phone stands in for a CV.
